European Vacation

Spent the last week in Europe, and had a lot of fun. Rented a Puegot (sp) Turbo Deisel. It was very kewl. I never drove a 6 speed, but I must say at the speeds they drive over there is was a much needed gear.
One of my fondest memories of the trip was this past New Year's Day at about 8:00 in the morning, we needed to drive an hour up the Autobahn to Frankfurt to catch our flight. So here I am on a 6 lane superspeedway, driving a fast car, with no one else on the road, no speed limit, and the best thing is that my wife is asleep in the front seat!
I suddenly realized that this set of circumstances would probably NEVER AGAIN present itself to me...
So I nailed it...I had the thing up to a 120mph and it had more to give...I let up when I lost my nerve. What was really odd was as I was pushing myself to the limit, a big black Benz flies past me like I was standing still!
I also went to Bastogne in Belgium, we were amazed at how much those people love Americans. I recommend a trip to Bastogne for anyone interested in seeing how great European hosptiality can be.
